Dover is the centre of the cross-Channel ferry network. The short Dover – Calais and Dover – Dunkirk crossings dominate the eastern Channel. Farther west, the network spreads out through Newhaven – Dieppe and from Portsmouth to Caen, Cherbourg, Le Havre and Saint-Malo. This map brings the main UK – France ferry routes together, from the short Channel crossings in the east to the longer western routes. Operators include P&O Ferries and DFDS.
