Add or correct a ferry route
FerryRoutes is built from thousands of route, port and operator records, and some of them will change before we find them ourselves. If something is missing or wrong, this is the best place to tell us.
Missing route
Tell us the two ports, the operator and whether the service is active, seasonal, planned or historical.
Wrong route
Report a route that has stopped, changed port, changed operator or is shown with the wrong status.
Port or operator issue
Wrong port name, duplicate port, operator mismatch or an outdated operator website? Send that too.
What helps us verify a change
- Exact ports: departure and arrival port, not only the nearest city.
- Operator: the ferry company currently operating the service.
- Status: active, seasonal, suspended, planned or historical.
- Source: preferably an operator, port, authority or current timetable page.
- Dates: if the change is seasonal or recently introduced/stopped, include when it applies.
- What is wrong: a short explanation is more useful than a general “this map is incorrect”.
You do not need to send a perfect report. A route name plus a reliable source is often enough for us to investigate.
Send the route update
What happens after you send it?
- We compare the report with our current route and operator data.
- Where possible, we verify it against an operator, port or other reliable source.
- We update the route, port, operator or status when the evidence is clear.
- If a service has stopped, we may keep it as a historical connection rather than delete it completely.
We cannot promise a personal reply to every submission, but useful corrections feed directly into the route-cleanup work.
Operator or commercial update?
If you represent a ferry operator or port and only want to correct route data, use the form above. Route accuracy is not a paid service.
If you also want to discuss route visibility, operator click-outs, booking paths or wider Ferrygogo coverage, use our Work with us page.
