Update 2025: Kyushu Railway Co. Ends Busan Ferry Service
Kyushu Railway Co. has announced the permanent termination of its ferry service between Fukuoka and Busan due to unresolved water seepage issues with its Queen Beetle vessel. The company will withdraw from ferry operations entirely and liquidate its subsidiary, JR Kyushu Jet Ferry Inc., citing safety concerns and business sustainability. The service had already been suspended since August 2024. You can still use the Camellia Line.
